TV Soap Opera's

The soap opera genre originated in American Radio in the 1930's. Television soap operas are long-running serials concerned with everyday life! In a serial at least one story line is carried over from one episode to the next- these are potentially endless. Events in soap opera include courtships, marriages, divorces, deaths and disappearances- this is where representation can be shown, with the race etc.
